It's Saturday already and time for another update. Where did the week go? Actually, where did the year go? Fall is already in the air, and we are getting very close to a couple of weddings (my sister's in November and my own in December.) Time is flying! The puppies are keeping pace with time and are growing by leaps and bounds. They all get along really well together and absolutely love the run out back of the kennels. As you can see in the video, they are still skeptical of their pool, but are getting used to it - kinda. They are scheduled to go for a checkup and first shots with my vet in a little over a week, and then will be ready to go home once they are old enough. It's been great raising them, and I can hardly wait to see how they do in their new homes. These are special pups! The only sad piece of news is that it seems almost certain that Maud cannot hear. She is completely unresponsive to noise. She is also quite clumsy, so I'm not sure how well she sees, but all puppies are clumsy at this age, and she runs, jumps, and plays with confidence, so if her vision is impaired, I don't think it's much at all. But she doesn't let her handicap slow her down a bit! She is just as happy, curious, and whole-hearted as her siblings, and gets along just fine. She is currently looking for a home, so please contact me if you are interested in giving her the right home. (Because of her handicap, I am only asking $500 to cover the costs and time of raising her.) She has a lot of love to give to the right person! Enjoy the pictures, video, and fall weather!

Another’s week has flown by and the puppies are really starting to become playful and enjoyable. The queens are chowing down their dog food and homemade formula (raw milk, yogurt, and egg), and spend their days relaxing or playing. Berengaria and Cleopatra are still somewhat reserved, but they are becoming more confident and cheerful. Rylee tried to steal the show this time while I was out there. She was hard to photograph because she wanted to chase me everywhere, then she wanted to snack of Flora, explore the other puppies’ kennel, and chew on one of the chiefs while I took pictures of him. She is an adorable little rascal! Maud is kind of happy-go-lucky and a bit clumsy, but very sweet. Lexi and Lulu were interested in the great outdoors, but somewhat reserved and cautious before they ventured far from the kennel. Although she was a little timid about coming out, though, Lulu is usually the first one to greet me when I go inside. The chiefs spend their days similarly, and are also enjoying their formula and dog food. They are out of their pool now, so I have to keep the front door of the kennel closed, but Flora has discovered that she can easily jump in and out, so she hops in to feed them occasionally, then lets herself out again when she’s done. I ended up taking pictures with my phone instead of my camera today, so I apologize for the lesser quality, but I hope you all enjoy them anyway. |
